NC State Wolfpack vs. North Carolina Tar Heels

The North Carolina Tar Heels have a very good chance of moving into the Top 3 and possibly to the No. 2 spot in the college basketball rankings if they can avoid an upset loss to end the week. To do that, they’ll have to defend their home court in the Dean E. Smith Center on Saturday afternoon against one of their rivals in the NC State Wolfpack.

Marcus Paige is still unquestionably the leader of North Carolina still ever since he returned from a hand injury that kept him out at the start of the year. However, the emergence of Brice Johnson as a star and the play of role players such as Joel Berry II have really made the Tar Heels one of the most dangerous teams in the country. However, the Wolfpack are far from talentless as they travel down Tobacco Road on Saturday. Anthony Barber has been one of the best scorers in the country this season and he and Abdul-Malik Abu could potentially cause North Carolina some major problems if they are at their best.
