Panthers quarterback Cam Newton put an exclamation point on his evening during the NFC Championship game with a 12 yard touchdown run

The Carolina Panthers almost blew a big lead in the divisional round against the Seattle Seahawks. They were committed to not letting history repeat itself against the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship game. Already up 27-7, Cam Newton put an exclamation point on his already impressive evening with a 12 yard touchdown run. It was his third touchdown of the night and his second rushing TD.

Newton has had an incredible game through the first three quarters. He has 266 passing yards with a passing touchdown. He also has 33 rushing yards for two touchdowns. At that point he had accounted for 299 yards and three touchdowns – that’s 299 of the Panthers total 370 yards.

Cam Newton is looking to go to his first Super Bowl and could be named the Most Valuable Player in the NFL this season. He accounted for 45 touchdowns and over 4,400 total yards during the regular season. From winning a Heisman Trophy and national championship in college, he has shined on the brightest stages for his entire life. Tonight is no exception.
