Demetrious Johnson’s video game live stream interrupted for drug test (Video)
UFC Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson had his Bloodborne video game live stream interrupted by a USADA drug test
Demetrious Johnson, a.k.a. Mighty Mouse, is the current UFC Flyweight champion and ranked the No. 2 pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC. Mighty Mouse also enjoys playing video games and, on Sunday, was live streaming himself playing Bloodborne on Twitch. During the stream just happened to be when he got an unexpected visit from the United States Anti-Doping Agency.
Johnson was talking with fans on the stream, enjoying himself playing his game when he heard a knock at his door. He was obviously surprised by it and stopped playing to do the courteous thing and go answer it. As it turns out, it was the USADA there to perform one of their increasingly infamous blood and urine drug tests:
How Johnson handles the whole thing is absolutely incredible. He obviously finds the whole thing hilarious, likely because there were conversations going down in the chat on the Twitch stream about how funny it would be if this exact thing happened.
Mighty Mouse had to cut the stream short to go get tested by the USADA, but added that he had to do so to prove that he was dominating the sport cleanly.
The UFC has been trying to crack down in a big way on the pervasive issues with drugs and performance-enhancing drugs in the sport, which has recently included surprise visits at all hours of the day and at random times from the agency to fighters for drug tests.
This just happened to be hilariously timed during the middle of Demetrious Johnson live streaming his game. Thankfully, the moment will live on in the video.
