The Milwaukee Bucks are open to trading center Greg Monroe and guard Michael Carter-Williams.

After making the playoffs with their young talent last season, the Milwaukee Bucks have regressed this season and sit toward the bottom of the Eastern Conference Standings. While regression is a natural part of the game for young teams, the Bucks tried to expedite the process with the addition of Greg Monroe in the off-season and it’s clearly not working out.

The good news for Milwaukee is that they still have a ton of young talent and will add another good pick in this year’s draft to add to their young core. With the Bucks falling quickly out of the playoff race, that could mean trading off some veteran pieces.

One of those pieces could very well be Greg Monroe. According to Gery Woelfel of RancineSportsZone, the Bucks are willing to deal Monroe along with point guard Michael Carter-Williams in a deal at the deadline.

"But Carter-Williams isn’t the only frontline player the Bucks are apparently willing to move. A much bigger surprise is the Bucks have made known that center Greg Monroe is available at the right price, according to some NBA officials."

When the Bucks signed Monroe, it was an interesting signing as they were a long athletic team that liked to push the pace and Monroe is seen as a slow down paint player that likes to work his game inside and really hammer his opponents.

If the Bucks are going to move Monroe, it’s going to be a little difficult after the hefty contract he signed this summer. He’s not a bad player by any means and could be a great addition to the right team, but the Bucks could very well end up stuck with that contract.

As for Carter-Williams, the Bucks shipped out Brandon Knight last deadline and brought Carter-Williams in. It noticeably affected the chemistry and the Bucks have been struggling with him at the point. It’s clear the team is ready to hit the reset button and that could very well mean moving the two players that haven’t quite worked out.
