Cam Newton lost in Super Bowl 50 and the Internet didn’t hold back with the “Crying Jordan” meme

The Carolina Panthers had just one loss coming into Super Bowl 50 against the Denver Broncos, largely thanks to the performance of the NFL MVP in quarterback Cam Newton. However, the Panthers and Newton met their match in Super Bowl 50 as the Broncos defense absolutely destroyed Carolina for the full 60 minutes on the way to a 24-10 win and a hoist of the Lombardi Trophy for Denver.

However, in the day that we live in, there was obviously never a chance that the Internet was going to let a polarizing player like Cam go untouched after losing in the biggest game of the season. As you’d expect, they reverted to the most prevalent meme around in regards to sad celebrities and athletes, the Crying Jordan. Needless to say, there were a large amount of the memes that made their way around Twitter:

That is indeed what happened and, whether or not you’re tired of Crying Jordan memes yet, they are out in full force and being thrown upon Cam Newton and the Panthers after Super Bowl 50.
