Eden Hazard told La Nouvelle Gazette that he would “like to be coached by Zidane” one day.

It has been a difficult season for Chelsea fans, players, and management alike. The club sacked Jose Mourinho in December after an abysmal start to the season, and they currently sit in 13th place with 29 points from 24 matches.

With Guus Hiddink only with the Blues as a caretaker manager until the end of the season, there could be a lot of changes at Stamford Bridge ahead of the next campaign. It remains to be seen who will be running the team next year, but several players are already being linked with big-money moves away from London. One of the players most rumored to be on his way is Belgian star, Eden Hazard.

According to Spanish outlet, Marca, the 25-year-old was being scouted by Real Madrid in January, with Zinedine Zidane said to be a big fan of the star. In a recent interview with La Nouvelle Gazette, Hazard reciprocated the love.

“I’d like to be coached by Zidane,” he told La Nouvelle Gazette, via Football-Espana.

“It’s always nice to hear Zidane, a player I admired during my childhood, talk about me.”

Hazard made the move to the Premier League in the summer of 2012, when he joined Chelsea in a £32 million ($46.4 mllion) move from French side, Lille. Not only did he help lead his club to a UEFA Europa League title in his first season, he was also a big factor in the team winning a double last year. Under Mourinho’s tutelage, Chelsea won both the Premier League and Capital One Cup last season, before the Portuguese tactician was sacked.
