Which players from the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers will hit 2016 NFL free agency?

The Denver Broncos are not going to look the same in 2016. After reaching the Super Bowl, Denver will be watching ample players hit the market, including outside linebacker Von Miller, inside linebackers Danny Trevathan and Brandon Marshall, guard Evan Mathis, quarterback Brock Osweiler, defensive end Malik Jackson, running backs C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman and kicker Brandon McManus.

Denver could also be releasing quarterback Peyton Manning, outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware, cornerback Aqib Talib and left tackle Ryan Clady. The Broncos currently have $10.9 million in cap space, but releasing Clady, Manning and Ware would open up almost $40 million in cap space, according to Over The Cap.

On the other side, the Carolina Panthers don’t have nearly the amount of turnover looming. Carolina’s most high-profile free agent is cornerback Josh Norman, while fullback Mike Tolbert and safety Roman Harper are also going to hit the open market. Carolina should be able to keep all three if it wants, with $19.6 million in cap space.

The Panthers have already given Cam Newton a long-term deal, so they have a nice amount of cost certainty going forward. The only huge extension that needs to happenis inside linebacker Luke Kuechly.
