Blake Griffin is the most intriguing piece the Los Angeles Clippers have to offer in a potential trade should they want to build around a new corps.

The Los Angeles Clippers are at a crossroad as an organization. While the Clippers are in their golden age as a franchise, Los Angeles has yet to make it out of the Western Conference Semifinals in the Chris Paul era of the franchise.

Entering play Monday night, the Clippers had a 34-17 record, but were in fourth place in the Western Conference behind three legitimate NBA Championship contenders in the Golden State Warriors (46-4), the San Antonio Spurs (43-8), and the Oklahoma City Thunder (38-14).

While the Clippers should easily win over 50 games in 2015-16, is it fair to say that this incarnation of the franchise has already hit its peak? Los Angeles beat the Spurs in the first round of the 2015 NBA Playoffs and were a quarter away from beating the Houston Rockets to make it to their first Western Conference Finals in franchise history.

With the franchise’s centerpiece in power forward Blake Griffin on the bench because of a fight he got into with an equipment manager, should the Clippers organization possibly part ways with the big man who has played like an MVP at times in his career with the Clippers?

The asking price for Griffin would be incredibly high, but here are five teams that could offer the Clippers something big in return for their ultra-athletic power forward.
