Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell took a nasty pass from LeBron James right off the groin

The Los Angeles Lakers have been a sideshow this season. They currently own the worst record in the Western Conference and the second worst in the NBA with an 11-43 record entering Wednesday. The Lakers have been a constant source of amusement to everyone who isn’t a Lakers fan. Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell has been one of their few bright spots. Even he is subjected to the curse of being a member of the Lakers as he took a pass from Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James right off the groin.

Russell literally took that right off the groin. That’s dangerously close to hurting Russell’s kids or even eliminating the possibility that he could have kids. Russell had to stay on the ground for quite some time as he regained his composure and had to recover from the groin shot.

The first round pick of the 2015 NBA Draft was drafted second overall by the Lakers and is currently being groomed to be a point guard. He mainly played at Kentucky as a shooting guard and is still going through some adjustments. Despite that, he is averaging 12.1 points per game and 3.3 assists per game in his rookie season entering February 10th.
