Chris Bosh is out of the All-Star festivities this weekend and C.J. McCollum will be replacing him in the Three-Point Contest.

There was a bit of shocking news on Friday, with the word that the Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh would be pulling out of the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday as he deals with a strained calf muscle. Of course, the game is not the only thing that he will be missing, as Bosh was also slated to take part in the Three-Point Contest on Saturday as well.

So with that being the case, it was time to find a replacement and they have done just that.

Stepping in for Bosh will the C.J. McCollum of the Portland Trail Blazers.

Not a bad choice for a replacement by any means, especially seeing as McCollum probably should have been in the field in the first place  in the eyes of some.

This season for the Blazers, McCollum is shooting 39.2 percent from that range and has made 125 of them, good enough for ninth most in the NBA throughout the first half of the season.

While it’s nice that he’s in now, however, there is some pretty stiff competition. Saturday night he’ll be going up against Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, J.J. Redick and a few others.
