Nuggets guard Will Barton got his Michael Jackson on to pull a ‘Thriller’ entrance for his first dunk in the 2016 Slam Dunk Contest

Denver Nuggets guard Will Barton has shown on a number of occasions this season that he’s more than capable of throwing down major dunks in games. However, the question was whether or not he’d be able to keep up with Zach LaVine and company at NBA All-Star Saturday Night in the 2016 Slam Dunk Contest. However, his entrance for his first dunk was farm more impressive than his actual first dunk of the night.

Barton was surrounded by a group of models dressed as zombies while wearing a red leather jacket. That’s when the Michael Jackson smash “Thriller” came over the loud speakers and the springy Nuggets guard channeled his inner King of Pop to throw down his first dunk of the contest:

As stated, though, his entrance was far more impressive than his actual dunk, though that wasn’t half bad either:

Barton received a score of 44 on his first dunk, which is a solid score in most contests. However, with LaVine and Aaaron Gordon also being in the Slam Dunk Contest, it really doesn’t feel like a score of 44 is going to be anywhere close enough to bringing home the hardware in Toronto.
