Here are the top 10 safety prospects in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Having a great secondary has been key to Super Bowl wins in recent memory. Whether it’s a versatile safety with plenty of range that can move all over or one that can get in the box and stop the run, there’s plenty of things that safeties have to do to succeed in this league.

There are plenty of teams that will be looking for the next great safety in the 2016 NFL Draft. There’s plenty of options to choose from both safety positions. There’s plenty of name players from the big schools, but this draft also has plenty of talented options from smaller schools.

Ever since the success of the Seattle Seahawks and their safeties, teams have been trying to emulate their success and have been making safeties a top priority on their draft boards. Safeties are the last line of defense on a defense and can also help cover the mistakes of the guys in front of them.

This draft has safeties that can be difference makers for many years to come. Names like Vonn Bell, Darian Thompson and Miles Killebrew highlight a class that is loaded at the safety position. With the combine drawing near, these gentlemen will have a great chance to raise their stock before the draft begins.

With a loaded class and plenty to be excited about, here’s the top 10 safety prospects in this year’s class.
