During that time, the Spartans are just 4-3 and look a little less comfortable on both sides of the ball than usual — at least in the losses. However, three one-point conference losses this season have been crushing for the Spartans’ conference title hopes.

Denzel Valentine is also a prime national player of the year candidate and he’s the first Big Ten player ever to record over 1,300 points, 700 rebounds and 500 assists over his career. He’s currently averaging 19.0 points, 7.9 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game. In wins, Bryn Forbes is spectacular. In losses, he’s the opposite. He will be the X-factor in this one.
