It’s that time of the year again where we all wait and see whether or not the UConn Huskies can complete another national championship run, but before they can accomplish that, they must first capture another AAC crown. And they will have that opportunity on Monday night when they take on the South Florida Bulls.

UConn advanced to the final of the AAC Women’s Tournament on Sunday with a win over Tulane, and to say that it was a convincing win would be an understatement. When it was all said and done, Geno Auriemma’s ladies walked away with an 82-35 win, just another sign of dominance for the program. Katie Lou Samuelson led the way for the Huskies with 17 points while Morgan Tuck added in 15.
However, they know that this South Florida team they’re facing on Monday night is no slouch. This is the same South Florida team that took a 25-24 lead into the half against them just last week. Even though UConn turned it on in the second half and came away with the 40-point win, they know in the back of their minds that South Florida can hang with them on any given night.
Still, the consensus heading into Monday night is that the UConn ladies will keep their winning streak alive and come away with another AAC Women’s title, and that indeed should be the case.
