Take a look at the updated 2016 Big 12 Tournament bracket after two rounds of play.

Two rounds of play are in the books and the Big 12 Tournament moved one step closer to deciding its champion. Although there weren’t any major upsets in the second round, the play is becoming more competitive and the matchups are more intriguing.

No. 4 Texas and No. 5 Baylor faced off in the first game of the day at 12:30 p.m. ET in what looked to be one of the more exciting matchups of the tournament. The game wasn’t as close as it should have been as the Bears held a lead throughout the entire game, winning 75-61.

The second game of the day was no closer. The No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks had no problem wiping the floor with No. 8 Kansas State. The rivalry game didn’t live up to the hype and the Wildcats didn’t get to pull off the upset of the year. Kansas might just be on the way to its No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament after a 85-63 win.

West Virginia, the No. 2 seed, played its first game of the tournament against the lowest seed in the conference, No. 10 TCU. The Horned Frogs pulled off an upset against Tubby Smith’s Texas Tech Red Raiders on Wednesday, but couldn’t do it again Thursday. West Virginia is proving to be a Final Four threat, winning 86-66.

No. 3 Oklahoma and No. 6 Iowa State played in the final game of the evening. This had the feel of an NCAA Tournament game and it played out as such. The Sooners came out on top, 79-76. Buddy Hield had an incredible game for the Sooners, scoring 39, while Georges Niang also showed off with 31 points.
