Michael Young will look to change that as he’s led the team with 16.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Young is also shooting 54 percent from the field, putting pressure on opponents in the post. Jamel Artis is a close second in terms of points per game, averaging 14.4 and 4.8 rebounds and he’s making nearly 36 percent of his threes.

Wisconsin had a turbulent start to the year. Legendary head coach Bo Ryan retired right before Big Ten play began and just one season after making a run to the national title game. Greg Ward took over the 9-9 Badgers and Wisconsin turned everything around, winning 11-of-14 games to end the year and defying all odds to get into the tourney as a seven-seed.

Nigel Hayes has been a force for the Badgers, forcing opposing big men to guard from the perimeter on down as he can stretch the floor and knock down jumpers. He’s putting up a team-high 16.3 points to go along with 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Big Ten Freshman of the Year Ethan Happ is averaging 12.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
