Duke. Grayson Allen. 24. player. 93.
The 76ers have the NBA’s worst offense, averaging a meager 96.1 points per 100 possessions. Duke’s Grayson Allen would give them a score-first option on the perimeter that could provide their interior players with some much needed spacing.

Allen is the leading scorer (21.8 points per game) on a Blue Devils’ offense that ranks fourth in Division I in adjusted offensive efficiency. He is an excellent outside shooter (41.9 percent) who can knock threes down on the catch or off the dribble. Allen’s most effective penetration comes when he’s driving to his right, but he needs to develop his left hand in order to become a more dangerous threat off the bounce.

During the NCAA Tournament, Allen has shown he’s capable of scoring in different ways, averaging 26 points per game in the first two rounds. Against UNC-Wilmington in the opening round, Allen did the majority of his damage off the dribble (15 of his 23 points came from the free throw line). However, against Yale, Allen absolutely exploded in the first half. He finished with 29 points and went 5-of-7 from behind the arc. In the Sweet Sixteen, Allen will face a new test in the form of a lengthy Oregon defense that will provide more resistance than either UNC-Wilmington or Yale.
