Syracuse pulled off a huge upset to move to the Final Four and Carmelo Anthony celebrated on Snapchat

The Syracuse Orange, though one of the most storied college basketball programs in the country, have just one national title in the history of the program. That title came back in 2003 when they were led by a star freshman by the name of Carmelo Anthony. Now a member of the New York Knicks in the NBA, Anthony has his eye on the Orange as they’re making a Cinderella run through March Madness.

After barely making it into the field of 68 teams out of the ACC, the Orange made it to the Elite Eight for a matchup with the No. 1 seed in their region in the Virginia Cavaliers on Sunday night. It seemed like their run might end there, but the Orange pulled off one of the most incredible comebacks we’ve seen in the Elite Eight to ultimately beat Virginia and move onto the Final Four.

As you’d expect him to, Melo took to his Snapchat to enthusiastically celebrate the comeback victory for the Orange:

The first one where Carmelo Anthony is just yelling DJ Khaled buzzwords (ironically on Snapchat, for what it’s worth) is obviously the gem in all of this. However, Melo’s musings on perseverance are funny in their own way as well.

Regardless of where your allegiances lie at this point in March Madness with the Final Four on deck, you kind of have to want Syracuse to keep winning just to see Carmelo Anthony keep losing his mind, right?
