The Philadelphia 76ers might try to trade Jahlil Okafor this summer.

After just one troubled and unproductive season with the Philadelphia Sixers, the team might look to trade former lottery pick Jahlil Okafor. Yes, this is the same Jahlil Okafor that they used a top-five draft pick on this past summer — and the reasons for possibly trading him are just so Sixers that fans might actually throw themselves off bridges.

According to Philly.com, the idea is that the Sixers will look to trade Okafor over the summer so that it will make way for Joel Embiid’s pairing with Nerlens Noel.

"So the belief is that the Sixers may try to move Okafor this summer if Embiid is healthy. If he isn’t, they have to decide between Okafor and Noel."

It has been no secret that the Sixers don’t think Noel and Okafor are a match in the frontcourt. It’s also not a secret that the Sixers might be the most incompetent franchise in the history of sports that have been played by mankind. There are dumpster fires with more sense of self than the Sixers and things just continue to be a hilarious mess for them.

This goes so far beyond simple trading a guy you tanked to get last season before he can even start a second-year with the team. The Sixers are going to trad Okafor so they can continue to put all of their eggs into Embiid’s broken basket. That’s the ultimate Sixers move right there; literally so Sixers that it hurts.

But hey, trust in the process — right?
