Syracuse Orange vs. North Carolina Tar Heels

Coming into March Madness, there were people who didn’t think that the Syracuse Orange deserved to even be in the field of 68 teams. Four wins later, Jim Boeheim and the Orange are in the 2016 Final Four and can taste a national title. However, they’ll have their toughest test to date in the tournament as their Final Four opponent in Houston will be an ACC foe in the North Carolina Tar Heels.

While Syracuse may be the dark horse that made it to Houston for the Final Four, the Tar Heels are the polar opposites as they’ve been expected to make it to this point from the start of the regular season. Even better for North Carolina is that they’re hitting their stride right now with Marcus Paige playing his best basketball arguably of the whole year and with Brice Johnson remaining dominant. However, Malachi Richardson has been tearing it up as a freshman for Syracuse and the Orange will need the youngster in addition to Michael Gbinije to come up huge if they want to get past this Final Four matchup and into the title game.
