Jimmy Walker completed an epic performance at The Masters Par 3 contest by winning with an impressive score of -8.

Jimmy Walker entered The Masters as a relative underdog, having 80/1 odds of winning. He will emerge from this weekend as a winner no matter what he does for the rest of the tournament, as Walker has won the Par 3 contest. In doing so, Walker set a record for the lowest score at the Par 3 contest with a score of eight under par through 19 holes.

His day featured a ton of impressive shots. While he only sank one hole-in-one, what won him the contest was his remarkable six birdies in addition to his hole-in-one.

Walker is swinging the club very well lately and it’s starting to pay off. He could be a solid value bet for winning The Masters because of his consistent long game and his quietly efficient short game. While he has not won any majors, don’t rule him out because he has had some impressive finishes as of late, including a top eight finish in 2014 at The Masters.

It was a great day for Jimmy Walker and hopefully there are even greater days ahead for the veteran.
