Sacramento Kings paying fans to get tattoo of new logo

The Sacramento Kings want fans to love their new logo so much that they’re going to pay for people to get it tattooed on their body.

It could be a big offseason of change for the Sacramento Kings who fired head coach George Karl earlier this month and now have a new logo they unveiled on Tuesday.

The new logo is the first step in an attempted rebranding for the franchise that has fallen on hard times since they battled the Los Angeles Lakers with Chris Webber and company years ago.

With DeMarcus Cousins, the Kings have a player who can be a dominant force if he wants to be, and if the Kings don’t trade the former first round pick out of Kentucky.

Regardless of who is in a Kings uniform next year, the organization wants to make sure the fans are embracing the new logo.

What’s the best way to embrace the logo? With a tattoo, of course, and the franchise is willing to pay for you to get the Kings logo tattooed on your body.

I applaud the effort to reach out to the community and get fans fired up over the new logo, but paying for people to get the logo tattooed comes off as more than a little desperate.

Then again, the Kings are desperate, and at least, they aren’t being shy about that fact.

Would you get a tattoo of the new Kings logo if you didn’t have to pay for it? Now is your chance!
