After a light day in the MLB yesterday, Major League Baseball is back in a big way on this Friday, April 29 with all 30 teams scheduled to be in action as they settle in for their weekend series. There are a lot of divisional matchups highlighted by the first Red Sox-Yankees meeting of the year, but there are also some more “unusual” head-to-heads like the Indians taking on the Phillies. If your fantasy baseball team is in need of some help in your starting rotation headed into the weekend, there are some interesting options to consider picking up from the waiver wire in your standard league or using as value plays for DFS. To see my top 5 fantasy baseball streaming pitchers check out the following slides.

More from Arizona Diamondbacks

The way this daily post works is that I dig through the scheduled starts and select my top 5 that are available in over 50% of ESPN leagues.  I’ve included their ownership level in ESPN leagues in parentheses after their name at the top of each slide. These pitchers aren’t superstars that aren’t available in season-long leagues or cost a high salary in DFS fantasy baseball action, but I think they can step up and produce solid outings given their current form, opponent, and potential to put together solid stats. Each morning, you can find these “best available” starting pitchers on our FanSided fantasy baseball hub.

Yesterday, my top 5 fantasy baseball streaming pitchers were a split decision with two good starts, two bad starts, and a rain.  Overall they went 1-2 with a 4.50 ERA, but I got really nice outings from Tanner Roark (pictured above) and Rubby De La Rosa who each went seven shutout innings with De La Rosa getting ten strikeouts to go with my only win of the day. I started this feature for this season at the beginning of last week and my first 55 picks have gone a combined 23-19 with a 4.25 ERA and a 1.354 WHIP.  My fantasy baseball streaming pitchers have also picked up a pretty solid 7.82 K/9.

If you want to discuss your fantasy baseball streaming pitchers, other waiver wire pickups, offer alternative options, or let me know how our fantasy baseball coverage can be more of a help to you, find me throughout the day @FansidedFantasy on Twitter. In the coming weeks as the NBA playoffs start to slow down, we’ll be able to expand our daily league fantasy baseball coverage, so stay tuned.

It’s time to get rolling with my top 5 fantasy baseball streaming pitchers for this busy Friday night.
