Jacksonville Jaguars select Myles Jack: Draft Guide
By Jason Parker
The Jacksonville Jaguars have selected Myles Jack with the 36th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft
After a junior season that ended far too soon due to a knee injury, Myles Jack is now a member of the National Football League. Jack was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Height: 6’1″
Weight: 245
40-yard dash: N/A
Notable stat: Named Pac-12 Offensive and Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2013
Myles Jack arrived to the UCLA Bruins as a four star recruit in the class of 2013 and quickly became a reliable player on both offense and defense. Jack finished his freshman year with the second most tackles in a single season in school history, while scoring seven touchdowns in five games at running back.
As a sophomore, Jack spent most of his time on the defensive side of the ball before stepping in and helping out the depleted Bruins backfield for the final games of the year, scoring four touchdowns against Washington and rushing for another score in each game against Arizona and Arizona State.
Jack’s junior season was cut short after injuring his knee during a routine practice drill in September, ending his year just three weeks in. Jack would end up dropping out of school so that he could focus solely on his rehab and preparing for the NFL Draft.
Grade: B+
