Looking at the Day 2 selections for the Atlanta Falcons in the 2016 NFL Draft

Most pundits would have told you coming into the 2015-16 season that the Atlanta Falcons were going to absolutely dominate the NFC South in a major way. They just seemed to be far and away the cream of the crop in the division and like there was no one that could compete with them when it came down to it. Of course, it turned out that the Carolina Panthers were about to go 15-1 on the regular season and then come one win shy of winning the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, though, the Falcons struggled mightily and fell to Earth in a major way.

However, the Falcons’ struggle this past year did benefit them in one way as they ended up with a selection on Day 1 of the 2016 NFL Draft in the middle of the first round. What was strange, though, is that the Falcons seemingly panicked with all of the drama that happened on Friday regarding Laremy Tunsil. Because of that, they instead drafted safety Keanu Neal out of Florida.

Now all eyes are on the Falcons to see what they’re going to do starting on Friday nigh for Day 2 of the NFL Draft. The Falcons own the No. 50 overall and the No. 81 overall picks in that will be made on Friday during Day 2 of the draft. From there, the Falcons can then make some sense of this and start to move on.
