The Indiana Pacers fans won’t be looked upon well for this move.

On Friday night, Game 6 of the opening-round NBA Playoff series between the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers is taking place. The Raptors are up 3-2 with a chance at closing things out and moving onto the next round.

At just about every professional sporting event, the national anthem is played before the game begins. With a Canadian team playing in the United States, two anthems get played to respect both sides. This would be the case for the Pacers and Raptors.

Things would turn ugly on Friday, though, as the Pacer fans chose to boo the Canadian national anthem before the game began.

Fans would also react to this happening on Twitter and gave an expected reaction to this.

This is not a classy move from the Pacer fans, as some respect should be shown for Canada’s anthem just as they wouldn’t want others to boo the American anthem. Whoever booed should be ashamed of themselves as there is no reason to show bad feelings toward the country.

Hopefully, something like this doesn’t continue happening if the Raptors make their way through the playoffs. There’s no reason to be classless toward the Canadians and it’s best to respect their national anthem.
