NFL Draft 2016: Arizona Cardinals Day 3 selections

These are the draft picks the Arizona Cardinals will have on day three of the 2016 NFL Draft.

After trading a seventh-round pick for Matt Barkley last season and a second-round pick for Chandler Jones this year, the Arizona Cardinals came into the 2016 NFL Draft with just six draft picks. In the first round of the draft, the team took a chance on talented defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche.

Without a second-round pick, the team didn’t have another pick all the way until the No. 92 pick in the third round. With very few needs and an ability to take a chance on a player that others might not have as high on their draft board, the team decided to select Texas A&M cornerback Brandon Williams.

The Cardinals’ goal in 2016 is to win a Super Bowl and they feel that both players can come in and have an impact immediately for a team that is looking to do big things. While they only had two picks in the first two days of the draft, the team will have four picks on day three and will be looking to improve their roster even further. These are the picks they have.

  • 4th Round, 128th overall
  • 5th Round, 167th overall
  • 5th Round, 170th overall
  • 6th Round, 205th overall
