The Tampa Bay Lightning will look to bounce back in their second round series against the New York Islanders in Game 2 on Saturday.

After an impressive victory to open the series, the New York Islanders will look to double their lead in the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Tampa Bay Lightning with a win in Game 2 on Saturday afternoon.

Puck drop for Saturday’s contest is slated for 3:00 p.m. Eastern. NBC will carry television coverage, while the game can also be streamed on the NBC Sports Live Extra app.

Ondrej Palat gave Tampa Bay the lead three minutes in, but the Islanders responded with three goals in the first period en route to a 5-3 Game 1 win. John Tavares, the hero of New York’s first round series win over the favored Florida Panthers, continued to dominate with a goal and an assist, while Shane Prince scored twice to pace the Islanders offense. While the Lightning made a late rally in the third after falling behind 4-1, goaltender Thomas Greiss sealed the victory.

Tampa Bay goalie Ben Bishop wasn’t at his best following a terrific regular season and dominant opening round against the Detroit Red Wings. The Lightning also made a number of defensive mistakes in front of bishop, which will need to be cleaned up against the dangerous New York offense. Nikita Kucherov added his sixth goal of the postseason for Tampa Bay in a losing effort.

While it’s not a must-win scenario, heading back to the electric Barclays Center in an 0-2 hole would be a major blow to the Lightning.
