The Cleveland Cavaliers proved to us all that they are an elite jump shooting team, as they set an NBA Playoffs record with 22 three-pointers in a game.

In Game 2 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series versus the Atlanta Hawks, the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers annihilated Atlanta from beyond the arc, sinking an NBA Playoffs record 22 three-point field goals in a game. They were able to break the record in two and a half quarters. Amazing!

Not that Atlanta is a bad team by any means, but the Hawks are absolutely no match for the Cavaliers, especially when Cleveland is cooking like they did in Game 2 from three-point land. The Cavaliers made 18 three-point field goals in the first half of Game 2 in their blowout of the Hawks.

Shooting guard J.R. Smith, point forward LeBron James, and power forward Kevin Love were just some of the few Cavaliers that simply could not miss from beyond the arc. The record-setting play came at the 5:09 mark in the third quarter when point guard Kyrie Irving drained yet another three from the right side of the court with a man in his face.

Atlanta finished second in the NBA in team defensive rating, but even a team as talented as the Hawks defensively had no chance with how well the Cavaliers shot the basketball on Wednesday night at home in Quicken Loans arena.
