A look at when Cavaliers vs. Hawks Game 3 will be played

The Cleveland Cavaliers have long been the favorites to win the Eastern Conference and that wasn’t something that changed in the first round of the 2016 NBA Playoffs. However, many NBA fans wondered if the Cavaliers would have a tougher go of it in the East semifinals in the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks tested the Cavs in Game 1. However, that was far from the case of what happened in Game 2.

Essentially, the Hawks might as well have not even have showed up to Quicken Loans Arena for Game 2. The Cavaliers came right out of the gate throwing haymakers and the Hawks couldn’t even hope to land a jab. It didn’t matter if it was J.R. Smith, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, or just about anyone on the Cavaliers roster, everyone was unloading bombs from long range.

When it was all said and done, the Cavaliers held a 30-point lead for the majority of the game and went on to set the record for the most three-pointers made in a single playoff game in NBA history. As they took a 2-0 lead, the question now is whether or not the Hawks can put up any more of a fight as the series will now shift to Atlanta for Game 3.

As for Game 3, fans of both teams may be wondering with the travel when that game will be played. Luckily they won’t have to wait long at all as Game 3 at Philips Arena will take place on Friday, May 6 with a 7 p.m. ET start time on ESPN.
