Pittsburgh Football revealed a couple new uniform combinations on Wednesday, drawing mixed reviews.

Pittsburgh Football is back. That’s really all there is to the program right now as former Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi has brought Pitt back from the dead, making it one of the more exciting teams to keep an eye on in the ACC.

Hoping to appeal to the young recruits and fans, the program revealed new football and basketball uniforms on Wednesday. The basketball unis look pretty much the same, but the football look is drawing some mixed reviews.

There’s not a crazy change in the overall look other than the addition of a navy blue matted helmet that seems to be the highlight of the big reveal.

Here’s a better look of the three uniform combinations Pitt will feature this season.

Fans have been taking to social media to knock the look, but there are no glaring weaknesses other than maybe the questionable outline look around the numbers — which also isn’t a huge change.

With or without the change in swag, the Panthers will be one of the up-and-coming programs in college football this season. They’re coming off an 8-5 season in Narduzzi’s first year, finishing 6-2 and in second place in the ACC Coastal.

Everyone loves jersey changes, but not when they’re too drastic. Now that these ones aren’t drastic enough, the younger crowd isn’t too pleased.

What do you think of Pitt’s new look — fire emojis?
