Here are Bovada’s over/under win totals for each AFC South team for the 2016 NFL season.

The AFC South was one of the most interesting divisions in the NFL in 2016. It saw the surprising Houston Texans win the division over the favorites to win the division, the Indianapolis Colts, thanks to an injury to Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. With the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars both improving themselves in the offseason, the south should be a very competitive division in 2016 with no clear favorite to win the division.

Listed below are each team’s over/under win totals for the 2016 NFL season according to Bovada.

Indianapolis Colts 9.5

Houston Texans 8.5

Jacksonville Jaguars 7.5

Tennessee Titans 5.5

Best Bet

The funny thing about the south is that any of these teams could go down in flames, leaving an opportunity for some other team to exceed their expected win total. Of the four teams, the Colts seem like the safest bet if Luck can remain healthy. The Colts didn’t really improve at all this offseason though, so they are still a very unsafe bet. But they are still one of the safest bets in the division. The Titans are also a safe bet because they still have a lot of holes on their roster That doesn’t sound like a six win team.

Worst Bet

The worst bet has to be the Houston Texans. Nobody would be surprised if they were a nine win team. On the other hand, would it surprise anyone if they were, say, a six win team?

Only one thing is for sure in the AFC South this season: expect the unexpected.
