Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy thinks he looks good after losing weight in the offseason.

Eddie Lacy is on his last chance with the Green Bay Packers. After yet another season where the running back couldn’t control his weight and let it get out of control, Lacy has been working hard this offseason to get himself back into shape and make sure that he keeps his job.

According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Lacy feels good about where he’s at currently and the work that he has put in to getting in shape for the upcoming season.

"“I think I look good,” Lacy said after practice."

Not only does he feel good as well about his weight, but his teammates also feel good about where Lacy is at as well and he’s even impressed them with his work, according to Demovsky.

"“I was going to crack a joke, but I won’t. He looked good,” Nelson said Monday. “We’re glad to have everyone back, get ready to work. That will be for him to answer. I didn’t ask him how much he weighed or his percent body fat or how fast he ran.”"

For Lacy, this is exactly what he needed to do and it shows that he takes his job in this league seriously and isn’t going to fade away quickly. His year last year was poor to say the least and his massive size hindered the way that he was able to produce.

Perhaps the biggest example of his weight hindering his play came in the NFC Divisional Round against the Arizona Cardinals, when Lacy busted a long run in the second half but could not finish it off for a touchdown because of the lack of speed.

Now with a lighter frame and some extra burst, Lacy should be able to finish off some of those runs that he wasn’t able to last year. It’s all on the line for him this year and thus far, he’s taking the necessary steps to getting where he needs to be.
