Spelling Bee co-champion Nihar Janga threw up the ‘X’ after winning and was congratulated by Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant.

The Scripps National Spelling Bee was filled with a bunch of talented spellers again and that meant that for the third straight year, there would be co-champions who shared in the honors of winning the event.

Nihar Janga stole the show with his spelling and his personality on the stage. Janga knew the words before they were given definitions and he had no trouble spelling his way to a championship.

After he won at the end, Janga threw up the “X” in honor of Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, who is his favorite player.

After the event, Bryant decided to tweet a congratulatory message to Janga for paying tribute to him with his celebration.

While other spelling bees have dragged on in their attempt to produce a single champion, this spelling bee was different and was one of the most impressive showcases of intelligence in the world today.

Everything is more fun when there is a little personality involved and Janga was the highlight of the night at the event.
