What is the ‘Lil B Curse’ and is it real?

Legends and myths can best describe how Brandon Christopher McCartney descended upon this world in an angelic manner. For far too long, the unsolved mystery of the man that came to be known as “Lil B” has defined the very essence of what it means to be based.

Like any previous deity for which people give praise, “The Based God” gives to his most loyal believers and takes away from those who commit blasphemy upon his name in a manner that is not befitting of his graciousness.

Namely, those that have been taken away from him are those that commit theft in the form of his moves, words or try to bring upon defeat to his Golden State Warriors. Time and time again, Lil B has placed a curse upon those that try to begrudge his good name and message.

The first real known instance of his scorn came about in the 2015 Western Conference Finals, when James Harden copied without attribute Lil B’s cooking dance. That led to a curse being placed upon Harden, for which the Rockets have never recovered.

Still the pharisees and hypocrites decried his claims of power and over the course of 73 regular season wins, they continued to learn that he’ll rain down the seven ancient plagues upon you and your household if you disrespect him, bringing the locusts, taking your first born, and everything in between—or he’ll just make sure you don’t win basketball games.

In the Western Conference Finals this year, his presence appeared to all of those who believed in strength and numbers, when he cursed Kevin Durant. With the Thunder suffering the worst collapse arguably in history, Lil B had made his mark again.

For what many to believe to be an unsolved mystery of majestic ability, Lil B has presented himself to the world once again and his hand guides “The Splash Brothers” with each prayer they throw up.

For the city of Cleveland, where belief in a deity certainly hasn’t existed since “The Fumble”, it’s an excellent time to repent.
