Taking a look at when Game 2 of the 2016 NBA Finals, Warriors vs. Cavaliers, will be played

In a rematch of the NBA Finals from last year, every NBA fan was heavily anticipating the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers going at one another in the 2016 Finals. That action tipped off on Thursday night in the famed and raucous Oracle Arena and it delivered on the drama almost immediately.

Though the Warriors came out looking hot, the Cavaliers were able to keep the pace in Game 1. They played the defending champions tightly and capitalized on the fact that both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson weren’t able to get into any kind of rhythm.

At the same time, Golden State were able to stay at least a bit ahead of the road team because of the contributions of role players. Shaun Livingston, Andre Iguodala, and others for the Warriors came to play on the big stage while the big stars for their team struggled. At the same time, though, the Cavaliers saw their stars come to play as LeBron James was fantastic.

As they often do, though, the Warriors pulled away in the fourth quarter and were able to secure the victory to move ahead 1-0 in the 2016 NBA Finals. After how quality the first matchup was, though, many are already looking ahead to Game 2 and wondering when it will be played.

Warriors vs. Cavaliers Game 2 of the 2016 NBA Finals will be played on Sunday, June 5 with an 8 p.m. ET tip-off.
