Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. South Carolina Gamecocks

When it comes to college baseball over the past decade, one of the most prominent teams without question has been the South Carolina Gamecocks. They’ve remained heavily in the national conversation time and again and are still there in the 2016 NCAA Baseball Super Regionals. However, they’ll face elimination on their home field at Founders Park on Sunday as the Oklahoma State Cowboys look to knock them off and punch a ticket to the College World Series with a win in Game 2.

It was the pitching of Oklahoma State that really gave South Carolina fits in Game 1. Thomas Hatch took the hill for the Cowboys and tossed seven innings worth of masterful work where he allowed just four hits and two walks while not allowing a single run. In fact, the only South Carolina run in the 5-1 loss didn’t come until the ninth inning off of a solo home run. Now the Gamecocks need Gene Cone and company to get the lumber working if they want to keep their College World Series aspirations a reality.

This game will be broadcast on ESPN2 with live streaming available on WatchESPN, which can be accessed either online or through the ESPN app simply by logging in to either using a cable or satellite subscription.
