Identifying the top high salary and value catcher plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 22 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Buster Posey, Giants (4,400): Posey has hit safely in seven of his last eight games and can generally be considered one of the steadiest options at catcher. He’s 5-for-14 in his career against Pittsburgh Pirates lefty Francisco Liriano (4-7, 5.03 ERA), who has struggled this season. Posey doesn’t cost a ton, relative to the top-priced players at other positions, so he’s a solid play.

Wilson Ramos, Nationals (3,900): Ramos carries a modest six-game hitting streak into Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers and rookie left-hander Julio Urias. Ramos is hitting .280 this season against left-handers and should be able to post points against Urias.

High Value

Welington Castillo, Diamondbacks (3,400): Castillo has been crushing left-handed pitching this season, so Wednesday’s matchup with Toronto Blue Jays southpaw J.A. Happ (8-3, 3.41 ERA) works in his favor. “Beef Welington” is hitting .353 against lefties, compared to just .225 against righties. He’s one of the top catcher plays for Wednesday, regardless of price.

Jason Castro, Astros (2,900): Castro is almost always a GPP-only consideration, by virtue of his boom-or-bust approach at the plate. But it’s worth noting that he’s hitting .245 with all six of his home runs this season against right-handers. He’s worth a look against Los Angeles Angels righty Matt Shoemaker (3-7, 4.50 ERA).
