Identifying the top high salary and value pitcher plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 22 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Jake Arrieta, Cubs (12,800): Arrieta has topped 23 fantasy points in three of his last four starts, along with a pair of double-digit strikeout performances. In other words, he’s been exactly what we’ve come to expect from Arrieta. He’s expensive, but easily one of the top options on Wednesday against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Cole Hamels, Rangers (10,400): Hamels has been on a remarkably consistent run of late, posting four straight starts of at least seven innings pitched with three runs or less allowed. His strikeouts are down, as he’s only topped five K’s once in his last five starts. But a matchup with last-place Cincinnati is simply too good to ignore.

High Value

Jose Quintana, White Sox (7,900): Proceed with caution here! Quintana is facing the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, arguably the worst matchup and setting for a pitcher in 2016. But fellow lefty Chris Sale just shut the Red Sox down on Tuesday, so Quintana could follow suit. This has GPP play written all over it.

Kyle Gibson, Twins (5,600): Like Quintana, Gibson should only be considered for GPPs. Gibson’s season totals (0-5, 6.06 ERA) are quite ugly, but so too is the Philadelphia Phillies’ eight-game losing streak. If Philly stays cold, Gibson has a chance to earn his first win of the season.
