Looking at the least popular pick ever in the NBA Draft for each team

The NBA Draft offers great opportunities for any team that has a pick. No matter if you’re picking at No. 1 or bringing up the rear at No. 60, there is a chance to find value at whatever position that you’re selecting in and the chance to get a player that can make an impact on the franchise moving forward.

However, with that chance to find that type of player also comes the risk of doing something in the NBA Draft that’s incredibly unpopular among the front office, among the fans, and just in general.

This is a risk that obviously gets higher the higher the selection. There’s far less scrutiny if a team whiffs on a second-round pick than if they miss on a first-round pick. Similarly, there’s going to be far more backlash for a team if they don’t hit on a lottery pick than if they don’t find a blue-chip NBA prospect even in the later first round.

Even the greatest teams, organizations, and basketball minds all have blemishes on their records when it comes to the NBA Draft. Even the best can’t bat 1.000 when you’re talking about the draft.

With the 2016 NBA Draft just around the corner and a new plethora of judgment just waiting to be handed down, let’s look at the history of all 30 NBA teams and some of their worst moments in this regard. These are the least popular draft picks for each NBA team.
