Just days after winning an NBA Championship, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova was found working behind the counter at Panera Bread

A couple of years ago Matthew Dellavedova probably could have passed people on the street and not be recognized. That isn’t the case any longer after the Cleveland Cavaliers guard was part of a team that went to two straight NBA Finals, winning the second.

Still, Dellavedova tried disguising himself and working behind the counter at a Panera Bread in Rocky River, Ohio just days after his team wrapped up the first title on Cavaliers history.

The third-year player said that one couple may not have recognized him, but that didn’t last long as others quickly realized the man wearing a “Hugh” name tag was in fact the player known by the nickname Delly.

One lucky family won a “Dinner with Delly” contest, which was the reason for his appearance at the chain restaurant, but the Cavs player wanted to have some fun first before sitting down to eat.

Dellavedova is coming off his best season as a pro after averaging 11 points per game and 6.5 assists while coming off the bench for the NBA champs. Undrafted out of Saint Mary’s in 2013, the Australian-born Dellavedova rose to stardom during the 2015 NBA Finals when he was pressed into extra minutes due to a plethora of injuries for the Cavs.
