James Harden celebrating faking out a kid is one of the funniest things you’ll see this week.

James Harden of the Houston Rockets doesn’t get a lot of good press. He’s infamous for being a jerk, on and off the court. He outright refuses to play any remote semblance of defense, no matter what the score is or the magnitude of the game.

In the social media era, it’s notoriously hard for high-profile individuals to get PR wins. A 24-hour news cycle combined with being able to fire your thoughts into the void of the Internet in mere seconds from your smartphone lets us see the bad side of people, a side that most would rather stay hidden. James Harden gets a bad rap on social media. The man runs a basketball camp for the youth of Houston during the offseason (for a steep price, however) that focuses on teaching young players fundamentals, which I’d like to imagine is just James Harden and the kids shooting threes for six hours.

One of the highlights for a lucky camper at a recent camp was a chance to go one-on-one with James Harden himself. Harden, who does not have a merciful bone in his body, pulled a move out of NBA Street followed by dunking on this poor, unfortunate child.

For what it’s worth, the kids seems really happy. So does James Harden, so it looks like this was a win for all parties involved.
