Identifying the top high salary and value first baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 28 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Edwin Encarnacion, Blue Jays (5,500): Encarnacion put on a show Monday night, blasting two home runs and finishing with 30 fantasy points. He is in store for another monster outing on Tuesday against Colorado Rockies right-hander Eddie Butler (2-4, 6.71 ERA). Encarnacion leads the league in RBIs (69) and ranks second in home runs (21). He won’t come cheap, but he should be worth any price.

David Ortiz, Red Sox (5,100): Here’s where we include our obligatory “Ortiz is a must-start against all right-handers” note. But seriously, he’s hitting .350 with 16 of his 18 home runs against righties. He’s also 11-for-29 (.379) with two home runs in his career against Tampa Bay Rays starter Chris Archer. “Big Papi” is a solid play on Tuesday.

High Value

Mike Napoli, Indians (3,400): Napoli has six hits, including a home run, over his last four games. He’s hit 13 of his 16 home runs this season against right-handed pitchers, so Tuesday’s matchup with Atlanta Braves righty Matt Wisler (3-7, 4.22 ERA) presents solid upside.

Mark Teixeira, Yankees (2,200): Teixeira’s season totals (.191, five home runs, 14 RBIs) are ugly, but in his three games since returning from the disabled list, he’s 4-for-8 with a pair of home runs. He’s hitting .246 against lefties (compared to .162 vs. righties) and he’s 7-for-20 with two homers in his career against Texas Rangers starter Cole Hamels. For a near-minimum price, Teixeira seems like a steal.
