Looking at when players can sign deals in NBA free agency 2016

There’s going to be absolute madness when it comes to NBA free agency 2016. Money is going to be available throughout the league in a way that it’s never been before, teams are going to be eager to spend that money in a way that we’ve never seen, and there are going to be some big-name players out on the open market waiting to be picked off on the open market.

Of course the name that everyone is looking at when it comes to NBA free agency 2016 is Kevin Durant. Durant is not far removed from rightfully winning the MVP and proved this past season that he’s still deserving of consideration for being one of the best players in the NBA. Now the question is whether or not he’ll stay with the Oklahoma City Thunder or try to start another chapter in his career.

Many other players that could make an impact will be available in some capacity in NBA free agency 2016 as well. Players like point guard Mike Conley and Al Horford will be unrestricted free agents this summer while other guys like Andre Drummond and Harrison Barnes will be restricted free agents. With all of this that’s about to happen, fans have to be wondering when players can sign.

While negotiations can be begin on July 1, there is a moratorium on signings. That means that players can’t officially sign with teams in NBA free agency 2016 until July 7. When that day comes, though, everyone should hold onto their butts—it’s going to get wild.
