The Cincinnati Reds are looking like they will finally trade outfielder Jay Bruce after all the rumors. There are many teams interested, but these teams are the best fit for Bruce.

The Cincinnati Reds have been shopping outfielder Jay Bruce for quite some time now. Rumors swirled around last season’s trade deadline with Bruce possibly on his way to the New York Mets, among other teams. In the end, he stayed in Cincinnati where he has found a home — for now.

With the trade deadline one month away, Bruce’s name has come up again in many trade rumors. This time it’s mutual. Bruce is likely to lift his no-trade clause and start seeking a trade before the deadline.

The 29-year old outfielder is showing his talent and why he can help other teams immediately. In 79 games this year, Bruce is batting .279 with 17 home runs and 59 RBIs. Bruce is a .250 career hitter, so this average will most likely not last, but he is a good power bat that can lengthen a lineup when added. The Reds sit at 29-50 and last place in the NL Central so they need something to shake their team up.

Bruce is currently in the last year of a six-year deal he signed in 2011 worth $51 million. Bruce will be a hot commodity during this year’s trade deadline but here are the five best fits for him.
