Identifying the top high salary and value first baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 30 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Eric Hosmer, Royals (4,800): Hosmer’s price hasn’t been this high since mid-June, but he’s been producing solid numbers recently. He’s hit safely in six of his last seven games, a stretch that includes four games of double-digit fantasy points. Hosmer has never faced St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Mike Leake (5-5, 4.25 ERA), but he is hitting an impressive .327 against righties this season.

Justin Bour, Marlins (4,500): Bour has closed the month of June on a nice run, having hit safely in nine of his last 11 games. The lefty-hitting first baseman also hit four home runs over that same stretch. Bour has never faced Atlanta Braves right-hander Mike Foltynewicz in his career, but his success against righties this season (.273, all 14 of his HRs) makes him a solid play.

High Value

Mitch Moreland, Rangers (3,400): Moreland has been quiet of late, but he has a chance to break out Thursday at Yankee Stadium against right-hander Michael Pineda (3-7, 5.51 ERA). Moreland hasn’t homered since June 19 and has just two hits since June 22, but that should keep his ownership down. It’s more important that he’s 4-for-9 with a double, triple and two home runs in his career against Pineda.

Victor Martinez, Tigers (3,400): Like a fine wine, “V-Mart” seems to continue to get better with age. The 37-year-old switch-hitter is batting .323, which ranks fifth overall in the American League. He has two hits in each of his last three games and faces Tampa Bay Rays righty Jake Odorizzi (3-3, 3.93 ERA) on Thursday. For this price, Martinez is worth a shot.
