While teams are spending wildly in free agency in the NBA, everyone is still waiting for Kevin Durant to make a decision before things really begin to completely unfold. Durant has begun the process of his free agent visits and on Friday, he met with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Going into their meeting, the Clippers were going to pitch Durant on taking a pay cut to play with their three other superstars. It seemed crazy at the time, but it appears that they had a great meeting on Friday.

According to Chris Broussard, Durant was “blown away” by what the Clippers had to offer.

Now this could be agents leaking info and could totally be a red herring, but it is interesting to think about. Would Durant seriously consider going to the Clippers or he is trying to get them to trade away pieces before returning to Oklahoma City?

Now if he really was blown away by their pitch, then it must have been something extraordinary to get him to consider taking a pay cut.
