Free agency has begun and teams aren’t waiting around to see what the top players do yet. Some teams are starting to make calls on veterans and for the teams that aren’t near the top, they can’t afford to waste any time at all.

One free agent that will be intriguing to teams in need of a veteran forward is Jeff Green. After being acquired by the Los Angeles Clippers at the trade deadline, Green proved that he can be a solid forward and put forth good minutes on the floor.

According to Alex Kennedy, the Orlando Magic are interested in Green.

The Magic are in the process of drastically changing their roster and after trading for Serge Ibaka, it’s clear that the Magic are trying to become a more defensive team than the one that they had.

Adding a Green would add another forward who can play defense and even score some points every now and then. Consistency is the key with Green, but Orlando would be an interesting place for him to end up.
