The Orlando Magic need to add depth at the point guard position. With Brandon Jennings an unrestricted free agent and the team needing to get Elfrid Payton some help, it would make sense to go out and get a point guard in free agency.

It appears that they’re doing just that. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Magic have agreed to a deal with veteran point guard D.J. Augustin.

Augustin has bounced around the league as a backup point guard, but he should be able to bring some stability behind Payton. He is familiar with new head coach Frank Vogel and it’s clear that he’s going to a bit of his pipeline from the Indiana Pacers in free agency thus far.

This shores up one position on the roster for Orlando. The team is in such a unique position that it will be interesting to see what their next move is. One thing is for certain, it appears that they are looking to add more veterans to the roster.
