Free agency in the NBA has begun and that means that teams are getting ready to throw as much money at players as possible with the salary cap spike. While everyone is paying attention to the top players that are available, some teams are looking to lock up veterans that can help their team on cheaper deals.

One of those players that teams could like as a veteran presence in the locker room that can do a little bit of everything is veteran forward Jared Dudley. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Phoenix Suns, Brooklyn Nets and Utah Jazz are all looking at signing Dudley in free agency. The Wizards are also reportedly in the mix.

Each of those teams have younger rosters and Dudley would be able to provide veteran leadership and he’s generally considered a great teammate. He also can put together solid minutes on the floor and won’t take away from the development of the young players on those teams.

Dudley played many years for the Suns before and bringing him back to the desert as a veteran leader would make a ton of sense.
